Visit La Mota Fortress and hidden city
We visited the Fortaleza de la Mota, with an entrance through the Hidden City! It was lucky to enter through this area of underground galleries that connected with the town. They also told us how they served the troops of King Alfonso XI to carry out the conquest of Qalat de Benzayde in the 14th century.
Cultural visit to the historic center of Alcalá
And a cultural visit to Alcalá la Real could not be missed. We visit the main spaces of local heritage as well as meet the most emblematic characters of the town, such as Pablo de Rojas and MartÃnez Montañés.
It was the beginning of our nightly evening, a gym kana through the historic center.
Challenge accepted! We are going on a tour of Jaén at 45º
On Saturday July 23 we had the first excursion: towards Jaén.
Maika took us to the most striking places in Jaén. In the Iberian Museum of Jaén we discover a place to learn about this culture prior to the Muslim and Roman ones. In addition, some of the participants found remains that came from their own municipalities!
Then we visit the Arab Baths, where we would have stayed for the chill, and the Castle of Santa Catalina, with impressive views of the city and its rugged surroundings.
An excursion to learn more about the province and to be able to say that Jaén has a lot to offer.

Route to the King's Fountain
Too hot not to enjoy a NIGHT route. Starting from the Young Building, we walk through the Parque Periurbano de los Llanos until we reach the Fuente del Rey.
It wasn't many kilometers, but we were able to see other watchtowers in the area, interesting plants, buildings from many years ago, and we were able to hear animals like the long-eared owl. Quite a full ride.
Oil mill tour
How could we leave Jaén without knowing the extra virgin olive oil production process?
We were lucky enough to visit the SCA MartÃnez Montañes mill, and see up close how the manufacturing process is carried out from the beginning until the juice is extracted and stored in the cellars.

This Saturday we have had to walk the city of Granada. Many of us already knew the Alhambra, but many others have been surprised by the beauty of the Alhambra and the Generalife gardens.
